"Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional
A friend of mine introduced me to Dashboard Confessional. When I looked it up on YouTube, "Stolen" just happened to be the first song I happened across, and so far, it remains my favorite (although I still haven't heard that much of Dashboard Confessional, so I'm not sure how reliable I am on that). The beginning electric-piano chords are addictive, as is the beat of the drums that goes behind it. Chris Carrabba has an amazing voice, and I love the part in the song where he sings "Sleep well" because of how sweet it sounds. Overall, a truly awesome song.
LYRICS (c) metrolyrics
We watched the season pull up its own stakes
And catch the last weekend of the last week
Before the gold and glimmer have been replaced
Another sun soaked season fades away
You have stolen my heart
You have stolen my heart
Invitation only, grand farewells
Crash the best one of the best ones
Clear liquor and cloudy-eyed
Too early to say goodnight
You have stolen my heart
You have stolen my heart
And from the ballroom floor, we are in celebration
One good stretch before our hibernation
Our dreams assured, and we all will sleep well
Sleep well... sleep well... sleep well... sleep well...
You have stolen [my]
You have stolen [my]
You have stolen my heart
Watch you spin around in your highest heels
You are the best one of the best ones
We all look like we feel
You have stolen my
You have stolen my
You have stolen my heart
